Transferring my Saltwater tank?

aquapod
None N asked:

I have a 12 gallon aquapod saltwater tank. I have a bunch of corals and a few fish. I just bought a 24 gallon nanocube , I need to transfer everything to it.

So, the tank is brand new. No bacteria and stuff…

The guy at the fish store (the owner of this big saltwater store) said to just move EVERYTHING to the new tank. Not to run the tank for a few weeks like I’d expect. So… is that what I should do? I guess just move everything? I’m sort of scared of killing the expensive coral and fishes…

So just want to verify if he was right or not.

I would cycle the new tank first. I have reason to believe that the guy at the fish store is a tard.

1-Set up your 24 gal with NEW sand and about half of the water from the 12gal and the rest new saltwater.( top up your 12gal. with new saltwater.
2-Test your salinity and adjust accordingly.
3-Add about 3 or cups of sand from your old tank, you can just pour it in the middle of the new tank.
Try NOT to DISTURB the old sandbed too much. 4-Add some NEW CURED live rock.
5-Add a couple of pieces of live rock from your old tank.
6-Let the new tank run for a couple of days to clear up.
7-Add Some more of your live rock from the old tank.
8-Add a couple of corals from your old tank After about 4 days.
9-Start adding fish 1 at a time every 4-5 days.
    10-Test your water.
Be patient and add FISH slowly over a couple of weeks.
You can add your corals whenever you want, They put next to nothing on your bio load.
Remember to keep Some live rock in your old tank until all the fish are transfered.
I know People who just moved everything in 1 day and about half of there livestock was dead in a few days.
One guy I know, had EVERYTHING die except for 1 leather coral.
Unless you have a lot of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
pe patient and you should be able to shut your 12gal down in a couple of weeks.
