you probably threw out the cycle by removing the filter floss, where the good bacteria was establishing itself. check the water parameters, possible add back the filter floss if its been kept in tank water, if not, the bacteria in it would now have died.

cloudy water is usually a sign of a bacterial bloom.

14 gallons is a bit tight for clownfish in the long run.

Your filter isn’t what houses the bulk of your beneficial bacteria. What has happened here is you have “shocked” your tank. Nothing to worry about. Your protein skimmer is pulling out the proteins from the water. Your tank was used to being balanced without it and selfcorrecting itself. Turn down your protein skimmer. Your water should clear in a few hours.

Double check your water readings. They may be a bit high but unless they are unsafe, don’t do a water change. Your tank is just readjusting. If they for some reason are high, do a regular 25% change. Turning down the skimmer will help.
