they share a 30 gallon biocube with plenty of frogspawn,a galaxea, a grass like coral and a gorgonian and i feed the brineshrimp with garlic

start with mysis shrimp, or atleast enriched brine, brine are not very nutritional. as for the sickness, sorry i cannot help you there, i would follw magics advice on that.
