I have an aquapod saltwater aquarium. 24 gallon. I had a few fish die over a period of several months and now have this green hair algae growing on my rock and trying to take over everything. I do water changes about 2-3 times a month, and it stays gone for a while, then returns. Anything else I can do to get rid of it?

you could take the rock out and scrape it off. i think pet stores also have a liquid you can put in the tank to get rid of the algae

what fish do you have and what has died?
do you check your water parameters? what are they?
hair algea wouldn’t be the cause of the deaths, but can be an unsightly problem… what kind of clean up crew do you have? any snails or hermit crabs?
both the snails and crabs, along with sally lightfoot crabs or emerald crabs, as well as fish such as lawnmower blennies, cherub angelfish, and hector’s or rainsford’s gobies will be of help to you…
but if your water has high nitrates and phosphate all the crabs in the world wont stop the alea…
